The book consists of papers delivered at the conference organised by the Public Education Office, Rzeszów Branch, Institute of National Remembrance. The works feature various aspects of Soviet politics in Poland of 1939-1941 as well as social-economic life and the Polish fight against the German occupation. The issues were deliberately ignored or distorted by the Polish communists.
